Find the 50th term of the sequence
37, 27, 17, …

Solution

We know the nth term is 50
     n = 50
 a50 = ?
So by formula
a50 = 37 + ( 50 - 1 ) - 10
       = 37 +(49) - 10
       = 37 - 490
       = - 453     ans.
