Starting Dates
The academic year begins on 1 October and ends on 30 September. It is divided into three terms, which in 2013-14 are as follows:

Michaelmas Term :           1 October - 19 December
Lent Term              :           5 January - 25 March
Easter Term           :          17 April - 25 June

Almost all graduate courses start in October, but it might be possible to start a course of research in January or April.
