Sandy - A Success Story After leaving the foster care system and finding herself homeless, Sandy struggled to find a path to work and to financial independence. She found both working with youth at a juvenile lock up facility.  But when a car crash took her out of work, Sandy began receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. She wanted to achieve financial independence through work and set new career goals for herself.
