He is filming his new movie in Poland; it was 4 am in Poland when he called me recently,” Abhishek told Bombay Times. "When I asked him why he was up so early, he said he was going to the gym. I said, ‘You are 77 and you are Amitabh Bachchan, you don’t need to go to the gym’. He said, ‘I need to go to the gym before my shoot begins’,” he added. “I want to have that zest for life, I want to have the enthusiasm to go out and prove myself even then,” he said further. Earlier when Amitabh had clocked in fifty years in Bollywood, Abhishek had penned down an emotional note for his father on Instagram as he wrote: “Not just as a son, but as an actor and a fan... We are all blessed to witness the greatness! There is so much to admire, to learn and even more to appreciate. Several generations of cinema lovers get to say we lived in the times of BACHCHAN!!! Congratulations Pa on completing 50 years in the Film industry. We now await the next 50! Love you." |

| Alia Bhatt has the spunk to play me, not Priyanka Chopra: Ma Anand Sheela Posted: 22 Dec 2019 08:51 AM PST Alia Bhatt has the spunk to play me, not Priyanka Chopra: Ma Anand SheelaFormer spokesperson of the Rajneesh movement, Ma Anand Sheela aka Sheela Biernstiel opened up about her upcoming biopic and why she believes Alia Bhatt is a better face to embody her character than Priyanka Chopra. During an interview with Hindustan Times, the 69-year-old spoke about why she did not give authorization to the Quantico actor to play her and instead thought Alia Bhatt shared the same ‘spunk’ in her. “I saw bits of a film that my sister was watching, and I thought, I looked like her when I was young. I asked my sister, ‘Did I look like her when I was young? Do you remember’? And she said, ‘Yes, you do’,” she said. “I feel she has the spunk in her that I had. Spunk is very necessary and it is very natural, it is not artificial, not cosmetic, it is genuine,” she added. She went on to speak about Priyanka Chopra being sent a legal notice for playing her when she hadn’t been granted the permission. “I told her I do not give her permission to do [the] film because I have not chosen her... In Switzerland, we send legal notices very simply. I sent her an email which is accepted there as legal,” she said. |

| Kartik Aaryan celebrates all his successes with family Posted: 22 Dec 2019 08:03 AM PST Kartik Aaryan celebrates all his successes with familyBollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan’s career is at an all-time high currently but the actor makes sure to celebrate his feats with the most important people in his life – his family. The 29-year-old Pati Patni Aur Woh actor recently revealed in an interview that he makes sure to celebrate all successes of his life with the people he is closest to, including his friends, family and colleagues. “I celebrate my success with my family members as well as my friends. I usually go out for dinner with them. I also celebrate my success with cast and crew members as well,” he said. “I go on a short holiday to celebrate success; the destinations are decided as well. The last time, I went to Singapore. This time, I will go to the Maldives,” he added. While he rides high with success right now, the actor also hasn’t let go of his past struggles that got him to this point. “I was sad for a long time when films did not work; during the initial stages, I faced a lot of lows. I felt like I would not be offered any more films, especially because I was just one film (Pyaar Ka Punchnama) old. Even after Pyaar Ka Puanchanama 2 , I did not become a household name; I would stand in a queue and fare for auditions,” he added. “I believed in my acting. I would wonder why I wasn’t getting films despite being the whole package. So while experiencing this low phase, I would think ‘Jaane do. Mujhe film nahi mil rahi hai toh yeh unka loss hai!’ (Let it be. If I am not getting films then it’s their loss.) This feeling kept me out of getting into depression,” he continued. Kartik further revealed that he learned how to work hard, courtesy of his parents as he hails from a middle class background. “My parents are happy now but are always a little scared. Their worry is that if a film doesn’t work, it can change people’s notions about me. But I have gone through that phase of failure for a long time, and now I’m experiencing this current phase for the first time. They get emotional when they think of those days, so they keep me grounded,” he said. |

During conversations with the Mumbai Mirror, Ashwiny went onto praise the star, she said, “Kangana had to put on some weight, but her body type is such that it doesn’t look extra on her. I don’t know how she does it over and over; I have difficulty losing even once.” The director also explained the film and what it is about, revealing, “We are all stuck in a rut; life is about getting a job, getting married and having kids; we’ve forgotten there’s a life beyond all this. Panga is about taking up a challenge, we’ve humanised the term. While being a mother and daughter, focusing on personal goals becomes difficult." She added, "At such times, my family comes to my rescue. Many warned me that my debut film (Nil Battey Sannata), the story of a mother going back to school to encourage her daughter to study, wouldn’t work, but I persisted. It’s important to reinvent yourself everyday, otherwise you reach a saturation point.” “You shouldn’t judge anyone. Kangana and I have become friends over the two-year journey of the film. I have realized that when she loves someone, she will take care of them all her life,” she said. The filmmaker further went onto say, “But then, so did my DoP (offer insights about a film and the characters), art director and assistant director whose insights have made the film better.” |
